What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, completely non-invasive and powerful form of healing which activates the body's own natural healing energy. It opens the channels to the universal life force through which we can heal ourselves. The practitioner acts as a channel for the Reiki. The receiver absorbs as much or as little as they need and it will work for them in whatever way is appropriate for them.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

At Peak Health Therapies we have two excellent Reiki practitioners:

Margaret Dickson, our main Reiki therapist, trained and qualified at the Peak School of Reiki (Level 2) and has many years previous experience of healing with hands. She provides treatment for all ages and conditions. Home visits and absent healing may also be possible by arrangement.

Alison Byrne BA(Hons) MAR MIICHT completed the degree in Complementary Therapies at the University of Derby and is qualified to practice aromatherapy and reflexology as well as Reiki.
